Trip to Bintan 24-26 Dec 2013

Oh gosh... Finally, manage to spend sometime updating my blog.

It's been a while since i last did any post. Due to work, holidays, etc and etc..

Anyway, spend a quality of time with my family during the holidays. Revisiting our relaxing and lovable getaway vacation venue, "Bintan Lagoon Resort". I guess 3 days of vacation is really short.

Not to mention the activities we found out during our getaway vacation. Although i must admit, that me and my family has been visiting this place for the 4th time.
(I guess the last time i visited this lovely resort when i was only in sec2.)

But to be honest with everyone that the place has somehow upgraded and made the entire resort, relaxing, adventurous and awesome place to go for a getaway.

Well then, i won't say much.. These pictures will tell you the story.. :)

Day 1:

Didn't do anything much on the 1st day. By the time we reach our destination, we were all tired.

As me and my mum had a really bad sea motion sickness. The wave was quite rough and made most of the passengerin the ferry vomit, including me...

Dad manage to get a villa home stay. Thanks to his workplace. Its rather hard to get such treatment when you are going someplace far far away from Singapore.

Day 2:

Celebrated the morning of Christmas by hitting the wonderful swimming pool which has a open sea view. Than made our way to Pasar Oleh Oleh to buy some goodies and food for the night.

As we have a kitchen to cook and serve our food. After shopping, we decided to head down to the Resort Centre to play 2 games of bowling. Mind me, i'm quite bad in bowling. hahahaha.. :P

Day 3:

The last day of our vacation ended up with tired face just wanting to stay for another day. But it was because i had another plan on the 27 Dec, we had to make our way back to Singapore.

But before hitting back, we decided to have a tea-break of delicious cake. Than head down to the beach to kill some time before boarding our ferry. Pleasant ride it was, on the way back to Singapore. Didn't feel nauseous or giddy at all.

Thanks to the Sea-motion-sickness pill we bought before heading back.
(It was thanks to the commoners living in the area. Giving us tips and advice on the stuff we could use to cure motion sickness.)

Places we visited during our vacation...

p.s: Now that they have activities in the island, i hope my dad would apply for this vacation again next year.. I would love to try the flying fox no matter what!! :D

Adventure Camp 25-29 Nov @ Kidz Amaze!!!

Finally, after many months of busy schedule. Work and projects after projects.
I finally have the time to post a little bit.
It does somehow feels like I'm back in school once again.

Anyway. Let's just continue with the post.

Another camp took place over at my current workplace.
I decided to volunteer myself as a facilitator for the camp.
This camp took a longer period unlike a previous camp which happen in September.
It was a 5 days Adventure camp for the kids.

With over 60 kids in the 1st session of the camp.
With more younger kids joining in to have fun with us.
With more gifts to given away.
Things couldn't have gotten a little bit better.

Unlike the previous camp, this session made us all (the facilitators) too tired.
Unfortunately, as i have always hope to stay all 5 days with the kids ended up skipping 1 of the days.
As my tummy was really having a severe Stomach flu.
Made my whole body drained out totally.

Came back the next day to continue with the activities. Such as:
~ Team work homemade Snake & ladder game.
~ Build their own fish tank
~ Adventuring the botanic garden (Jacob's palace garden of the children.)
~ NTUC food adventure
~ Mascot (Making a mascot on facilitator out of recycle material)
~ and many more

Knowing that the kids were asking me where did i go during that very day, as they have all missed me.
(Awwwww, so sweet of the kids.)
So i tried to spiced up their activities they have during the camp.
But as they say,
"When kids meet kids, it becomes a party."

Overly out of control.
Hahahaha

As the final day came, we (the facilitator) decided to give these a gift.
(I bought sweets and Kinder Bueno for the group kids.
while the other facilitator had their own gift to be given out their own team.)
Touching to see the kids leave on the last day.
They eventually asked us if we were still working, as they are going to bring their family back to the playground.

(I am so touched! ;) )

Didn't take much photos with my phone as we had to used the workplace camera.
But here's a sneak peek on the camp. :)

Adventuring and feeding Ducks and swans @ Botanic Garden.
Making their own healthy sandwich and their own Snake & Ladder.
Swapping everyone snake and ladder games just to try out everyone's very own rules and forfeit for the game.
Us, facilitator fooling around.
Us in our group mascot!!

Finally, the camp has ended. The facilitators have done a good job. Well done everyone!! :D

It's to get my well deserved break. Might be joining in for the next session of camp in december. Still the same session, but this time is a whole lot of different facilitator. I can't wait!!! :)

Kidz Amaze Nature Camp!! The epic and crazy moments!!

Hello everyone. It has been awhile since i last post anything on my blog.Due to work, camps and more work. I rarely have the time to even rest well.Just recently I became very ill. Not knowing what has cause it to trigger. Its rather rare for me to fall really ill due to me having Phobias to medication.

Sounds rather ridiculous i guess. But that is just how my body works. Ok let's leave that aside. Let's talk about a camp which recently took place at my workplace for 4 days. Didn't expect myself to be involved as the facilitators for the camp. But it was extremely fun.

Knowing i have an interesting of photography in insects. This camp is to teach the kids about nature and be expose to the natural insect and habitat living in our surrounding. Regardless air, ground, soil, water and many more.

As we have 2 parts of session for the camps. (10-11sept) & (12-13sept)

I guess these pictures will show everything that happened during the camp.

(10-11Sept Session 1)
Let's have some bonding games before heading out to zoo!!
These kids are brave enough to let the butterfly roam around them. So proud of them. :)
Group photo at zoo!!
Group photo!!
Certification for our 1st session campers!! Well done!! :D

(12-13Sept Session 2)
These kids are just too excited with the games lined up for them!!
Time to learn more about nature.
The only method to hold an butterfly taught by the zookeeper.
These are actually Pupa aka Chrysalis. Only available at the Singapore Zoological garden "The Fragile Forest" in the restricted area. As they were actually imported from taiwan and are caged due to avoid them from invading the other insects living in singapore. Damn Gorgeous!!
Group photos!!!
Certification for our little campers!! Well done!!

Well. I was happy to see the kids having fun. Even as the facilitators for the camp, we still do have our own crazy time together!! Love these peeps!! :D

Looking forward to stay and work with these crazy people!! I had such a fun getting to know and being crazy with them!! :)

Raya visiting with crazy poly mates!!

Another day has finally pass. Another memorable day has eventually ended. With us becoming a lot more closer to each other and us going crazy with cam-whoring. Our very 1st Raya visiting with poly mates was the most enjoyable day ever.

With everyone agreeing to such event, (Except for Irfan and sumii, as both have either work or family to attend to) and knowing that some of us would eventually meet up later than expected. Hahaha... (you know i know. :P)

Anyway, i shall not say anything much. These pictures are worth a thousand words. (Maybe i'll throw in some photos Bloopers in this post!) Mostly are posted in Facebook. It definitely was an enjoyable outing i wouldn't forget very easily. Let's hope we would have another outing as such for next year.
It's really fun!! :D

Celebrating Birthday boy belated birthday!! Happy Birthday Arfandi!!

Oh wait!! Forgot to mention that we had a last min Midnight movie. "Kick-ass2" at Nex! It was awesome!! Now i just can't wait to meet everyone again for the upcoming STGCC event. I'm just looking forward to meet the famous cosplayer "Vampy Bit Me!!". Looking forward to that day!! :D

Picnic @ Botanic Garden with the Mixed Blood People!!!

I'm back with another post. And this time, we're heading to Botanic Garden for a picnic. Even though we are from the same race. The fact that these people that i hang out with are "Mixed Blood!!".
It's awesome feeling to be a mixed blood. With a little bit more understanding from other culture and race in
our blood. (Such as me, having a Chinese and malay blood within me.)

Anyway, today's picnic wasn't really completed at all. But i'm happy that they showed up to have fun. I admit, we did have lots of fun.. Under the awesome weather and greenery grass. Feeding ourselves to junk food. Although i made egg mayonise and brownies for everyone.

(To be exact, there were suppose to have 6 people including me.) But i'm thankful for these people who came and made me smile. Thank you guys!!
Let's go hiking really soon!! :)
