Trip to Bintan 24-26 Dec 2013

Oh gosh... Finally, manage to spend sometime updating my blog.

It's been a while since i last did any post. Due to work, holidays, etc and etc..

Anyway, spend a quality of time with my family during the holidays. Revisiting our relaxing and lovable getaway vacation venue, "Bintan Lagoon Resort". I guess 3 days of vacation is really short.

Not to mention the activities we found out during our getaway vacation. Although i must admit, that me and my family has been visiting this place for the 4th time.
(I guess the last time i visited this lovely resort when i was only in sec2.)

But to be honest with everyone that the place has somehow upgraded and made the entire resort, relaxing, adventurous and awesome place to go for a getaway.

Well then, i won't say much.. These pictures will tell you the story.. :)

Day 1:

Didn't do anything much on the 1st day. By the time we reach our destination, we were all tired.

As me and my mum had a really bad sea motion sickness. The wave was quite rough and made most of the passengerin the ferry vomit, including me...

Dad manage to get a villa home stay. Thanks to his workplace. Its rather hard to get such treatment when you are going someplace far far away from Singapore.

Day 2:

Celebrated the morning of Christmas by hitting the wonderful swimming pool which has a open sea view. Than made our way to Pasar Oleh Oleh to buy some goodies and food for the night.

As we have a kitchen to cook and serve our food. After shopping, we decided to head down to the Resort Centre to play 2 games of bowling. Mind me, i'm quite bad in bowling. hahahaha.. :P

Day 3:

The last day of our vacation ended up with tired face just wanting to stay for another day. But it was because i had another plan on the 27 Dec, we had to make our way back to Singapore.

But before hitting back, we decided to have a tea-break of delicious cake. Than head down to the beach to kill some time before boarding our ferry. Pleasant ride it was, on the way back to Singapore. Didn't feel nauseous or giddy at all.

Thanks to the Sea-motion-sickness pill we bought before heading back.
(It was thanks to the commoners living in the area. Giving us tips and advice on the stuff we could use to cure motion sickness.)

Places we visited during our vacation...

p.s: Now that they have activities in the island, i hope my dad would apply for this vacation again next year.. I would love to try the flying fox no matter what!! :D

Adventure Camp 25-29 Nov @ Kidz Amaze!!!

Finally, after many months of busy schedule. Work and projects after projects.
I finally have the time to post a little bit.
It does somehow feels like I'm back in school once again.

Anyway. Let's just continue with the post.

Another camp took place over at my current workplace.
I decided to volunteer myself as a facilitator for the camp.
This camp took a longer period unlike a previous camp which happen in September.
It was a 5 days Adventure camp for the kids.

With over 60 kids in the 1st session of the camp.
With more younger kids joining in to have fun with us.
With more gifts to given away.
Things couldn't have gotten a little bit better.

Unlike the previous camp, this session made us all (the facilitators) too tired.
Unfortunately, as i have always hope to stay all 5 days with the kids ended up skipping 1 of the days.
As my tummy was really having a severe Stomach flu.
Made my whole body drained out totally.

Came back the next day to continue with the activities. Such as:
~ Team work homemade Snake & ladder game.
~ Build their own fish tank
~ Adventuring the botanic garden (Jacob's palace garden of the children.)
~ NTUC food adventure
~ Mascot (Making a mascot on facilitator out of recycle material)
~ and many more

Knowing that the kids were asking me where did i go during that very day, as they have all missed me.
(Awwwww, so sweet of the kids.)
So i tried to spiced up their activities they have during the camp.
But as they say,
"When kids meet kids, it becomes a party."

Overly out of control.
Hahahaha

As the final day came, we (the facilitator) decided to give these a gift.
(I bought sweets and Kinder Bueno for the group kids.
while the other facilitator had their own gift to be given out their own team.)
Touching to see the kids leave on the last day.
They eventually asked us if we were still working, as they are going to bring their family back to the playground.

(I am so touched! ;) )

Didn't take much photos with my phone as we had to used the workplace camera.
But here's a sneak peek on the camp. :)

Adventuring and feeding Ducks and swans @ Botanic Garden.
Making their own healthy sandwich and their own Snake & Ladder.
Swapping everyone snake and ladder games just to try out everyone's very own rules and forfeit for the game.
Us, facilitator fooling around.
Us in our group mascot!!

Finally, the camp has ended. The facilitators have done a good job. Well done everyone!! :D

It's to get my well deserved break. Might be joining in for the next session of camp in december. Still the same session, but this time is a whole lot of different facilitator. I can't wait!!! :)
