Kebaya Nyonya style for Hari Raya 2014

With the month of Ramadah finally over.
A new festive season starts.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!!!

A starting of a new day where 1 can start having their meals normally.
(Although i still need to watch my diet!)

From new clothes, shoes, bag, curtain, bed and so on....
From a child to teenagers to young adults and finally working adults.

Green packets, sweets and treats for the kids.

Spend the 1st day of Hari Raya at home.
Grandpa didn't wanna go anywhere.
So we're stuck at home again for another year.
But we manage to head out to 1 of my aunts place for the 1st day!!

Oh well.
It's time for more photos!!
Will be posting the rest of the images in my facebook wall.

A whole new level of camwhoring session with the family!!

My OOTD!! Nyoya Kebaya style!!! Aunt says I look like a baba with the entire look. lol

p.s: Looking forward to another poly raya outing soon!! :D

Light madness and impromptu Photography session

Spending the last weekday of the fasting month with a great pal.
Spending the day over a impromptu evening photography session.
Walking around in town not knowing where to head too.

Met up with Arfandi (my polytechnic friend) in town.
From bugis to city-hall than back to home.
We found another great hang out place to chillax.
But will have to wait till the next outing before going there again.

Although, the town area has been my most frequent visits over solo photography session.
In which i would usually have during my boredom days.

Never felt tired of taking photographs in the town area.
There is so much to see. But little time to explore due to work and stuff.

Like a tourist would do.
Our big ass DSLR and our drinks to clench our thirst in this humid weather.
As the wind blows in the evening sky.
Lowering the humidity temperature level.

Cracking jokes and nonsensical boredom.
Testing our cameras to set its right settings.
It was a fun day. As we made our way home.
Feeling positive and crazy over our photos.

Great day it really was!!
Looking forward to another photography session.
Maybe the next time, it'll be a different theme instead of sceneries.

Time for the photos!! Hope you like it!!

I didn't realize i capture something that look like a short shooting stars at the top. hehehe.
And so, the musical light and fountain show began.
Just some lame shots i took with my phone.
I took a quick snapshot of Arfandi with my phone camera.

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------4am

Here's a collage of the Light and fountain musical i took with my crazily-trying-to-stable hands for almost 15mins.
Using the Manual Mode on my DSLR. These are the setting i use for these collage shots!

Nikon D5100
ISO 317
F-stop: 3.8
Exposure time: 1/8 sec

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh yeah. and so, me, my siblings and my uncle's family decided to surprise my mum with a little token of appreciation. Because its my mum birthday!!

P.S: It feels great as soon as i reach home. Felt positively happy again. Looking forward to another photography session!!

Stephen Wiltshire, Master and genuise artist

Never have I came across such a talent until this gentleman became famous thru social network.
Known and famous from his "drawing from memory".

(Biography available in link just below.)

Stephen Wiltshire

16 - 20 july 2014
Live drawing session (daily) 10am - 5pm
Paragon Shopping Mall

And so, SPH had a 30th anniversary celebration and decided to invite Stephen Wiltshire down to demostrate and showcase his talent.
Prepared by the organisation a 4m piece of paper across a long blank curved wall.
With his stationeries set up in a small cupboard.
As 5 days of live drawing.

As I head down to the 4th day of its exhibition and was amazed by his artworks.
Stunned and merely standing with jaw dropping emotions.
Seeing his artworks like a true masterpiece.

Crowd was just overwhelming to see him live up front drawing the skyline panorama view of singapore.
As he finishes another part of his drawing for the day.
Such talent amaze by the special needed kids seated right in front of the artist himself.
Like as if he was a saviour or a true master.

Even I felt the same way as how these kids felt.
As an artist, cartoonist & animator.

Truly a blessed man with such talent despite his condition.
Truly such an amazing world this is.

I couldnt get too close and a full shot of what he drew as it was jam pack!!

That's Mr Stephen Wiltshire. True artist. (Photo credits by SPH)

P.S: truly inspired to draw even more now. But brfore that I shall rest.

A birthday treat and the awesome Poly friends!!

Yet another year pass. Another birthday pass.
It was my birthday.

My name is Fadilah.
Finally 23 years old. (I don't look like a 23 year young adults eh?)
Half Malay & Half Chinese. (I do have a Javanese blood in me too.)
Just a typical artist, who loves cartoons, drawing, photography, sceneries, food and a sweet-tooth.
Here I post my blog almost weekly about my daily lives.

12 July 1991

The day I was born into this world.
After being in my mothers womb for almost 9 months.
Not forgetting how i was born out wasn't like any typical child in this world.
Born to be different from my siblings.
Born with a bunny teeth.
Life feels great ever since school ended. (I do miss my friends though.)

Well, enough sad stories.
Let's get on with the day entry.

So finally!! It's my birthday.
I've been counting down till this day. And it has finally arrived!!
Found out a little exhibition they have in town in facebook.
To give myself a little treat and excitement.
I went on for the little solo photography +  as a birthday treat to myself.
Decided to make my way to The Garden By The Bay, Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.
Upon reaching the destination, purchase a ticket for both the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.

(30% discount off if you purchase the tickets by NETS.)
(More discount to Safra, HTNS member too)

Walk my way into the flower dome.
Amazed to see such a beautiful Persian Theme garden.
(I told you I just love sceneries a lot!!)
Amazed to see so many beautiful flowers.
Went around crazily taking photos.

Than make my way to the Cloud Forest.
Totally amazed with the magnificent Human-made waterfall.
Stunningly beautiful to me.
Starring at it for almost 5 mins.
I have never seen a waterfall made by human right in front of me.
(you can actually touch the water falling down. DAMN COOL!!)
Crazily make my way around the entire area like a mad person who has never seen such a beautiful place for decades. (Hahaha. i'll just love the entire place alot!!

Soon, i had to leave for a dinner planned out with my polytechnic gang.
I didn't want to leave this place soon, but it was getting late.
As i make my way to Simpang Bedok.
(Known to be a famous area for coffee shops among the muslim community.)
Over at the "Tang Tea House".
Met up with the rest in which my dear friend Aiman made a reservation.)

As time pass and the food being served and eaten.
Talk among ourselves, with laughter and madness over gossips and nonsense.
Another Poly friend of mine passed me my birthday gift.
Open it and i was sooo happy to received such a cool gift!!
Thank you everyone!! I really love and appreciate it!!

We made our way to Tampines for a little sketching session.
As for me, i had everything ready in my tiny bag.
(Camera, Tablet with stylus pen and my handy-dandy sketchbook with pen.)
Time pass, as it was getting late. (As late as 11.30pm)
As we make our way back home. (Last bus!! Didn't want to miss it!)

I had such a grateful and cheerful day.
(although i was a little quiet over dinner.)
Thank you once again for the cool gift, wishes, call, message, letter & etc, etc.
I have never felt happier and positive with all these good energy surrounding me.

THANK YOU!!!

NIE Graduation 2014!!

The day has finally arrived.
I don't even know why am I soo excited??
Even though it wasn't my day..
It was suppose to be my elder sis "Big" day.

N.I.E GRADUATION CEREMONY 2014!!

I must say, it has been over a year since i graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic.
As a Diploma graduates. Like any other student ever dream off.
But today, is my elder sis "2nd" Diploma graduation ceremony.
This cert is needed for her to teach Primary School students.

Diploma holder --> Primary School

Degree holder --> Secondary School

The ceremony kicked off in the morning.
As we head off to NTU aka Nanyang Technological University Auditorium.
Triple the size as what Nanyang Polytechnic Auditorium looks like.
Since elder sis could only get 2 invitation card. (My mum, dad and me went for the ceremony.)
So i decided to wait outside. Handing my DSLR to my dad.
(Hoping he know how to use my camera.)

2 hours pass.
As what 1 would have thought a peacefully garden suddenly the echo sound of "Camera-clicking & flashing"
POP comes out my elder sis. With her "Snape from Harry Potter" suit.
Walking as fast as she could towards me, handing over her phone camera to take a snapshot of her.

SNAP SNAP SNAP!!
Tons of pics taken with my parents and elder sis phone camera.
She than, head over to her classmates to take tons of photos with them.

Time pass by really quickly as we were all tired.
Head home and now resting.
Gotter go get ready soon!! Will be going out to meet a friend.

But anyway, Let's post some photos!! :D

I didn't bring my Long range lens along. Looks kinda far.
So finally, my elder sis graduates. And now she's asking me. "When is your turn to take degree?" I told her "I'm working on it!"
Mum, dad and elder sis
Despite the 1 year gap between us, she may be as tall as a giraffe. But without this annoying sister, i wouldn't have made it thru my diploma.
Her only mission for the day is to hit me with her graduate booklet. No!! Please don't!!
Annoying Elder sis so happy! hahahaha

p.s: Now every morning, without fail. I shall disturb her. By saying, "Good Morning Ms Aishah"... hahahaha!! oh boy! She is so going to kill me for good!! XD

p.s.s: How lucky am i to have a lunatic elder sis just like her. Hahahahaha!! But still love her like any siblings would love their own family! :D
